ODST Helmet Showreel
Summary:
This is my first attempt at a completed 3D model. This project introduced me to UV maps, diffuse maps, normal maps, texturing and scene lighting. This project turned out to be a lot of fun and surprised me as to how close I could get this model to look like the original concept. As this was my first time creating a 3D asset, the process I used was very messy and lead to component clipping (e.g. where the visor meets the visor frame). To reduce this for next time, I need to find a process that will enable me to create the basic shape of the asset before detail is implemented.
