Redemption Rabbit

Lead Pencil on Paper.

Summary:

This piece was produced for a school art project. The piece focused on society’s perspective on schizophrenia. It was developed from other works showcased in this portfolio (see Roguish Man and The Charcoal Skull for more detail). The finished piece was illustrated onto a sheet of A1 paper. This size was achieved by using the projection method (see  The Charcoal Skull).

Different shades of hair were put onto this figure so I could practice tonal values. From this I learnt it is effective to shade a character rather than outline them, this in turn allowed me to stage the character in a three dimensional space with three dimensional lighting.

The beastly style of the rabbit was my highlight for this piece. The only issue I had with the final product was the lack of detail put onto the body of the character.
